Even though aeroplane crashes can be quite scary, you are actually more likely to die driving to the airport that you are to die whilst in the air. To add on, 1985 is still the deadliest year for air crashes though.

Yep, very true. August 1985 is the deadliest period, with the loss of JAL123, DAL191 and BA28M.

Malaysian airlines was actually one of the safest airlines. They have some of the safest airplanes out there, including Boeing 777s and 737s, they also have multiple Airbuses. They've just been having horrible luck this year.

 

Perhaps so. My personal experience flying with them has lead me to believe differently, but statistically, you may be correct.

 

Pictures of the plane were posted before flying, and it was seen that the plane was cracking and starting to peel.
