ELS & LCPDFR Not Working!

Featured Replies

So, I have everything needed for LCPDFR and even had some people assist me with it. They all gave me the same files and had there game working from these files. But, When i start the game up, Random lights of the light-bar come on but do not flash. Also, The ELS Control Panel does not come up, nor does it make the beeping sound effect when pressing J, K, or L. Also, I get the LCPDFR Loader.Loader error. All files have been installed correctly and they all are properly placed. Multiple solutions have been tried but nothing works. All of our other scripts work (Spotlight, Flashlight, etc.)

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
John

Windows 7 isn't the only OS that uses 64Bit, 32Bit processors.

Every OS uses either 64 or 32.

It just helps to know which one it is, regardless of Operating System.

I know but that would be the one I have more experience with which is why I asked,,,and true but, I had this similar issue a day or so ago and I installed all the redistributables which was 2005, 2010, and 2012 and that solved my problem.

It doesn't install all of them.

So say you installed 05, when you installed 2010, that 05 was installed over and doesn't exist anymore, same with when you installed 2012. It doesn't install on top of each other or this would cause a huge defrag issue as well as memory issue.

And if you were to install 2012 again, a message would pop up saying you have that version or a newer version and that it isn't recommended to install your old version...If that makes sense.

As long as he downloads and installs the latest dependencies for LCPDFR then he should be alright.

Here is all of the updated things you need to run LCPDFR:

Visual C++ Redistributable: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653

DirectX End-User Runtime: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

If you haven't updated GFWL use this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549

ScriptHook - Download and place in the GTA IV Root directory: http://www.hazardx.com/details.php?file=83

Only reason I said that was because that is exactly what I did I tried using the ones that LCPDFR uses which is 2010 and 2012 and I got an error message saying SecuLauncher something along those lines that wouldn't allow me to start GTA at all. I tried using LCPDFR without 2010 and 2012 and I obviously couldn't go on duty and with the 2005 alone ELS v8 couldn't work properly. So in a last ditch effort I installed 2005 and also installed 2010 and 2012 and its allowing me to play GTA IV and LCPDFR and I haven't had any issues so far.

That sounds like a pain in the ass. But it had to be done it looks like. And if it works, even better.

Those links to the downloads I posted, make sure you have the x64 version of them, not the x86.

If you have to, reinstall those.

Did that, Still nothing. I get the LCPDFR Loader.Loader error and ELS Does not work.

Why do u still got the "LCPDFR Install (ASI Loaders)" folder in your main directory? It shouldnt be there... try the following steps :

There should be exactly 2 Files :

xlive.dll

dsound.dll

Choose one of them - not both - and drag the one you choosed in your root-folder (Mainfolder). After this, you can delete the "LCPDFR Install (ASI Loaders)" folder.

Try this, after these steps start the game as ADMINISTRATOR (right mouse-click at LaunchGTAIV, then : run as administrator). If u still got Problems, let us know.

"Officer MacTavish, ready to help."

Delete the msvcr100.dll

KEEP the msvcr100d.dll

See if that helps.

It doesn't matter if that folder is there.

LCPDFR comes with both ASI loaders so you don't have to search for the updated ones yourself.

Edit: If you notice in the link he posted to his screenshot. Dsound.dll is already located in his GTA IV Directory.

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications.
  • Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.

Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.
