According to audio, a suspect was aiming out of the rear of the vehicle with an AK47, and firing upon officers during the pursuit. There was also a hostage that was thrown from the vehicle, while the pursuit was still going. CA has had some notoriously insane pursuits, but this one is a special kind of crazy. My prayers go out the deceased and injured victims, may they RIP.

Never seen so many cops in my life.

Truly insane chase, but truly saddening. Poor women, poor daughter, poor husband. All for money.

I feel sorry for the victim. I really disliked the guy taking the first armature video we saw (on the freeway). He seemed pompous. But it was insane to watch the second. The one with the gunfire.Crazy shit. And I get why the cousin of the victim was upset, but really, what can you do when you have 3 gunmen who are armed to the teeth? I would've pulled back too. It's not worth the extra lives lost. More police following close would only make them more mad. Anyway. Thanks for posting about this.

Shocking video, stuff straight out of a movie. I really appreciate you posting this, I would've never heard of it otherwise. Although I understand anger is a form of grief, I can't say I agree with the cousin, the officers did what they are trained to do in the situation, they followed protocol and unfortunately a hostage was killed, while it is sad there's not much more that could have been done.
