GTA IV crashes

Featured Replies

When I go to start the game, it begins loading the mission but then crashes. I have deleted the save games per another thread. I have both 090F and the 090FH1 patch installed. I ran the diagnostic tool and the report is attached as a Wordpad document. GTAIV runs fine without the mod installed, when I install the mod it just crashes when the first mission is loading. I have tried unistalling and then reinstalling several times. I'll apologize in advance for any noob errors I made in this support request. Thanks for any help you can give. The mod looks awesome on youtube...

Thanks everyone for getting back to me. I had installed the 1.07 version, and just did again, but when I install it, the game just doesn't start. At all. I click on the icon and then the disk symbol appears, spins, and then nothing happens. So I uninstalled it, found the version 1.04 patch, installed that, but apparently that didn't work if it's still saying version 1.0.0.

Rerun the tool and post results again.

My bad, I should have done that. Sorry. File attached.

Thanks. It looks like everything is installed properly and up to date but I can see some errors towards the bottom of log. Though personally, it's hard for me to fully understand what they're saying I think one of the devs will understand it.

No problem. And I'm not in real life if that's what you mean. I'm only at college, though being a cop would be interesting.

Also, you must run GTA IV by right clicking LaunchGTAIV and Run as administrator.

Ah. From the "graveyard" comment I thought you meant nightshift. I'm a cop & that sounded like cop talk lol

Well, I did the re-install & I did right-click it and Run as Administrator. The same thing happens though, disc icon comes up, spins, but then the game never launches...txt file attached. huh.gif

Thanks 4 any help you can give...
