Longer Response for calls

Featured Replies

Hello,

Ive been playing LCPDFR lately and everything is great.... except the shortness of the calls.... When i get a call or force a call its only a about 3-4 blocks away and its really not fun when i keep having the same calls 2 blocks away is there anyway to change this in the settings or something?

There is no way no. not that I know of anyway.

Anyway I have the opposite problem. I get annoyed when I get a call for a domestic in central park East and I'm not even on the central island.

I get sent to charge island a lot for the shootout as well.

But on the whole if you move about you tend to get calls all over. If you patrol an area then chances are call are gonna come out of that area.

You are absolutely right bro, because whenever I roam around the east holland area I get call outs in that neighbourhood, but on moving away the callouts get different and also become available at different places.

And about the Charge Island Shootout, by the time I reach there most of the peds(red blips) would have been killed...

Im just asking because im trying to making a lcpdfr video of me responding to calls but they are so close its like 10 seconds long. that includes driving the guy to the station lol

The moderators don't like people double posting, but what you could do is use a trainer to teleport far away and then respond, or you could drive far away and then respond if you don't want to mess with a trainer.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

Receiving calls that are very close to where you are is actually quite accurate, since usually you are assigned a beat. A beat is a sector that you will patrol and is about the size of some districts in Liverty City, such as East Holland, while Alderney may be cut in 3 sectors. Central Island would be a sector by itself and unless units doing that beat would require assistance, you shouldn't have to go to it, unless you are one of the beat cars in the sector. Most of the time, an unit may be only 5-15 minutes away at normal driving speed, but due to gameplay decisions, it is shorter in LC. The problem that I encounter is when I patrol close to the coast, I may get a callout on the other side of the river and is out of my beat, sometimes the distance can be as ridiculous as from Star Junction to Hove Beach.

Also depending on the callout, code 2 or 3 may not be required, thus making the drive longer time-wise.

Why did I not think of this before, of course. There is no real reason why you need to hit accept right away. Unless you need the sat nav to get there of course. Most times I don't respond to the calls that are on other Islands or a long way off but now I may answer the shootouts, but like you suggest get nearer before accepting. Good tip !

@ pullover77 if your trying to make a response vid then as as suggested either use trainer to move yourself across the map or if you get a call a few blocks away drive to the other end of the map and then hit accept. GL with your response vid.

Other than that to get varied calls my only advice is dont patrol one area. Of course a lot of people enjoy patrolling one area for realism.
