Hey guys.

 

I've been a fan and an appreciator of LCPDFR for a long time, and I'm grateful for the community.

 

I have a fascination for Airports, and always wanted an Airport Operations vehicle model/skin to be created, but since I haven't yet found one (not that they don't exist, of course), I decided to try my hand at creating it myself.

 

So, here it is!  It's still a work-in-progress but it's pretty much 99% done.  It is currently a Ford CVPI skin, but I plan on making skins with the same "theme" for Chargers, Tahoes, Tauruses, including some of the airport-specific vehicles, if it's possible, like the tug trucks.

Thanks =)  And yes, it's different because I've been looking for a long time for an Ops vehicle, but never found one, so I decided to just create one myself. =)

I plan on polishing it up tonight or tomorrow, adding more unit numbers and color versions so that people can add them to livery models, then releasing it as a pack for the CVPI.  Then I'll get to work on other skins for other models.  I plan on Taurus Police Interceptor, and Interceptor Utility next. Maybe the Landstalker haha, but more likely Tahoe/Suburban.

I like it when people release cars with different unit numbers on. It gives the packs a great deal more realistic accuracy!

I still have a thing for old-school halogen rotators.  Love them.  The lightbars on the car are Whelen Delta hybrid halogen/LED lightbars, created by Lt.Caine.  The car is made by Lt.Caine:

Sixium, these skins look good so far. My personal recommendation would be to incorporate an orange roof in to the liveries. I believe that would make it more realistic and add to the overall vehicle visibility.

Hmmm, an orange roof sounds interesting.  I'll give it a try and if it works out, I'll include an alternate pack that has orange roofs.

So, the pack is finished!  I've made the last finishing touches (just little alignment shifts, text tweaks, etc, no modifications), and also tried out the orange roofs as Lt Phill suggested.  I'll include a second pack with orange roofs since I think it looks pretty good.  Same pack of skins, just with an orange roof.  The roofs are actually closer to yellow in-game, though.

I will package it all together and upload to LCPDFR tomorrow night or Tuesday, since I currently do not have access to my PC where all the finals reside.
