Hello everyone. Maybe i ask a stupid question, but nevertheless, whether police script Watch Dogs? Does the structure of the game to make modifications?

 

I think policing roleplay in modern Chicago will be very interesting..

The game isn't even out in most countries (if any) so it's hard to say, but the answer will most likely be no.

If there was a mod, it wouldn't be by the developers of LCPDFR. I believe they only focus on GTA.

the game already allows you to kind of choose to be a vigilante...or a criminal, you get to choose...But I guess it would be cool to be a "cop" in a different game.

It is coming out on PC so it wouldn't hurt for someone to take a look into the files and determine if they can be modified or not. I think watch_dogs just needs to be the way it is, it's just right and badass that way

GTA was very much built around a character in an open world who used guns and cars etc. That can be switched to a police officer who uses the same things, but in watch_dogs you can't be a cop and hack your own system. That is just not normal.

One of the reasons GTA IV had such longevity on PC is the unsupported modding community. Will the Disrupt [The engine which Watch Dogs is built in] engine be at all moddable?

 

Not officially. I mean, we’re not shipping with tools to mod the game in itself. I’m sure some crafty people might figure some things out, but no, it’s not something that we’re going for. We’re a new IP, first iteration, so we have to pick our battles. So, we’re not going to ship with a modding toolset.

But then again, GTA IV didn't ship with any modding tools either.

 

I haven't played the game yet, but I could imagine policing around the streets of Chicago could make for an interesting setting. Yes, hacking is a mechanic, but it could be disabled when enabling this mod, or you could, as a player, just avoid using this specific mechanic.

There is a lot of random street crimes that happen infront of you. Ive been playing nonstop for the past 12 hours and let me say its my game of the year. I was a little disappointed in the police sirens, but its alright the visuals and actual experience of playing make it worth it! I recorded a couple videos of playing it so they should be uploaded by tonight or tomorrow morning, and I will post a link to them...

I agree if it can be modded would love to see a mod where you can play as a police officer

 

and playing as a chicago police officer in this game  would only be more fun,  and should help with the modding be  popluar due to chicago PD show

 

 

why should everything just be stuck to gta4
