LCPD:FR 0.95RC1 (fixed) isn't functioning like it is supposed to

Featured Replies

Well,I have had 0.95 RC1 for a long time, but when I uninstalled it and reinstalled the 'fixed' version,I've been experiencing problems. While installing,it asked for username & password, which I obviously entered, but it didn't show it authenticating.Neither did it showed my password in the next window as it used to.I ignored it and started playing the game, but it gives me "unhandled exception error" at almost every step.FYI,I enabled the hardcore mode and callouts are enabled as well. For instance: I respond to callouts, but when I reach the crime scene,I find myself being presented with the unhandled exception error.I respond to another callout and all of a sudden the target vanishes from my radar.Reinstalling the application didn't solve the problem and I've been going through all this ever since I installed the 'fixed' version.I request devs to look into it and/or help me out (yeah, thats a request,of course). To assist you even more in solving the problem I'm attaching my LCPDFR.log and since I've installed it just as fresh as a ripe mango, you wouldn't be banging your heads against the wall ;).

NOTE: My LCPDFRErrorLogging suspiciously reports the following:-

[12/1/2011 9:43:55 PM] [ASTATS] Anonymous usage stats not sent: possible server failure or no connectivity.

Thats quite strange,too.

Any help or suggestions will be more than appreciated. Thanks in advance (in case I forget  ).

Been getting the same issue too, I was using radio mod but deleted that and I am about to try it out. Strange thing is:

Anonymous usage stats not sent: possible server failure or no connectivity.

Well differently to you; I entered my username and password and something fishy goes on with my internet. I launch the game with a full connection but exit with a local only, opening a browser normally will rectify this (so no biggy). Have you tried entering your credentials? Then playing.

Aside from that the "unhandled exception" issue, I once got, then installed ELS (with Ai lights off) and it stabillized it. But after installing the radio mod, stupidly [/facepalm] -

"error in core.engine sharp". So try installing a SINGLE script alongside LCPD:FR in my case it stabillized it.

Hope this helps,

Hench

Anonymous usage stats not sent: possible server failure or no connectivity.

Why do people think this is crime stats? This is the anonymous usage statistics that the game sends (version, RAM, CPU speed). The server that used to process that is down, so no anonymous statistics get sent anymore.

This error will be appearing in everyone's logs.

Any update on when it will possibly be up and runnin'?

And we simple users don't know much about its working process like the advanced users,so don't go rude on us,please.

Any "[ASTATS]" error in that file is completely ignorable. Post the results of the diagnostic tool as mentioned here:
