Best AMD Catalyst settings for GTA 4

Featured Replies

Hey guys can someone tell me what my AMD catalyst settings should be to get the best performance on GTA 4.

My PC Specs:

AMD A6-3620 Quad Core 2.2ghz and turbo up to 2.5ghz

AMD radeon 6530D 512mb dedicated memory

6GB DDR3 ram.

Im going to buy a new graphics card in summer but for now if someone can give me the best settings for and catalyst control center it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There's nothing you can do in the Catalyst Control Center to improve performance. Your "APU" is weak and that is what's bottle necking your game performance. Just turn down your graphics settings. You do not have a dedicated graphics card, it is built into the CPU and there is no true "dedicated RAM" for it that I'm aware of. I would also avoid buying a super expensive graphics card when you do upgrade it, because the processing part of your "APU" is going to cap the performance you can get out of it unless you replace that as well.

Alright thanks. Im thinking of getting Radeon 7750. My APU can handle most games but with low graphics, but after the gpu upgrade im sure i will get a better performance. I have played Bioshock 2 and Amnesia 1 and 2, in lowest settings cause of my GPU.

They've released two new Radeon series since, I'd check out some newer cards.

Yeah, I'm going with the Radeon R7, I can handle GTA IV with ELS cars, ENB and on highest settings without lag.

But get that APU replaced first.
