Hey guys, my old GTA IV Disc1 got damaged and of I read in the forum that the mod does not support cracked versions so I went ahead and got my self a new copy of the game.

I uninstalled the old GTA IV and installed the new copy and installed the LCPDFR v0.95 RC1.

I can play the missions properly, but when i press Left Alt+P, the mod gets activated, then the screen just goes blank for about a minute and then i get exited out.

I am attaching the log files.

And in advanced hook.log i get this:

aparna I don't pretent to know much about log files but the one thing that does stick out and does not appear on my report is....[iNFO - 11:48:7] Failed to disable xlive protections..

No idea if that is relevant but have never seen that on my reports.

Fingers crossed someone with a little more knowledge than me knows whats up.

Right, type in google search "GTA IV PATCH UPGRADE", then look for one that has EFIGS, download the english patch, update your IV and you will be good to go, otherwise, if this fails, re-download LCPDFR 0.95rc and try again

I have the 1.0.7.0 patch installed..!!!

If i use xlive i wont be able to play multiplayer.

So i opted for dsound and i am getting this problem...

I use dsound as well. always have.But I have never had that error your getting. Just wondering if you have used Xlive in the past. Could cause an issue loading saved games that were saved using xlive ?

That will my last resort bro because i have never had problems with LCPDFR before...

Cant play the game only.... :sad:

If you have a cracked copy, gtfo, you don't get support.

However, you don't need to use a crack if you have a legit CD code. Then you can just use a No-DVD Launcher. Google.

I have no idea why you're getting that, but that shouldn't happen. I'll look into it.

Ok i use xlive instead of dsound and i dont get any errors when i activate the LCPDFR but I can play only specific callouts..!!!

My advancedhook shows this

Try to patrol a different area, see if the failed to spawn error goes away.

Make sure that dsound.dll is not still in your GTA folder.

Can you be more specific when you say you can only play certain callouts, please? The mugging one doesn't show code 4 when it's supposed to so pressing Y sometimes won't seem to do anything, if that's one problem you're having.

I deleted the dsound.dll, and I will try to patrol a different area bro as you suggested.

But u were right as the mugging callout does not work, I only get the Domestic Disturbance in Breachwood(Not sure if correct) and the suicidal callout in Hove Beach.

All the other callouts, I get the select Y or N option, but when i press Y nothing happens and I just force a new callout by Alt+F11..!!!

I only remember hearing the mugging one not working when you press Y. Strange. Try a new area, like Algonquin, and then see how it works with just xlive in there now.

Hey bro i tried as you said with the xlive and in a new area and this time i could play 4 callouts but the only callout that failed to spawn was the Mugging Callout.!!!!

What to do bro???

The mugging callout can't be fixed by the users yet. The developers are working on it.
