Support email to R* & Microsoft GFWL?

Featured Replies

Well, wan't the email addresses to R* Support and GFWL, cause i will ask some questions to both. I can't find any emails, (i hate how they hide the shitty thing so you can't find it) and i wonder if you guys have em'?

I wouldn't recommend emailing RockStar; when I did I sent my query at 2013-12-28 23:10:29 -0800, and I didn't get a reply until 2014-02-04 19:13:52 -0800.

If you still want to go through with it, R*'s support email is support at rockstargames. I'll leave the domain off to confuse the spambots.

My personal inbox is not the support forum. I don't mind helping  you with your issues, but you are responsible for your research.  I am not a page in a manual, Google, or the forum search function - look through all three before asking.

Funny cause when I emailed them I got a reply within the hour.

The thing with support email addresses for big companies is that the time they take to reply is entirely dependant on a large number of factors. I'm not trying to argue against your case here by the way, I'm just adding my perspective, especially given that I have been on the receiving end of support emails, differentiating between spam and genuine help and then trying to be fair to everyone is time consuming.

Oh, and just in case you wanted to know, the technique of messing up the email address so HTML doesn't recognise it (and thus highlight it) is called munging :)

I used the "Contact Us" form. Resolved the issue by accident when my video drivers corrupted and I had to format the HDD, which was before the new year began. December 31, if I recall correct. (The next day, my PSU shorted to ground.)

Munging, I'll have to remember that.

Yeah I used the contact us form as well, got a nice reply with a lot of helpful information in it. It really is so subject to the specific minute that the email is received and so many other factors, it's why I never hold anything against the support teams of any website because I know what they go through :)

You wont forget the term, it's a ridiculous term. "I am going to munge my email address" Money says people will go "wtf dude?" lol

Having to ask for help doesn't bother me as much as it is the actual support process. Each time I've gone through Steam Support, I've been given the runaround by the bot. Each time I've gone through Microsoft Support, they always go a different direction than the issue lies. The only pleasant support experience I've ever had was through Mojäng AB (in fact I actually [jokingly] complained once that they were TOO timely in their response, the one in question being given seven minutes after I shot them a Tweet.)

As for the topic of munging, I have literally infinite disposable email addresses I can set up within ten seconds. I don't need to worry about munging, haha.

Anyway, this is starting to derail, if you reply to this mind doing so in PM?
