Updated traffic stops

Featured Replies

Most importantly I'd like the "park up behind the vehicle" feature removed, because I always have to park up the ped's asshole to trigger the traffic stop, which is quite unreal. Most of the times I park further behind the suspect, and also in a way that I'm either parked closer to the road (if I'm going to talk to the ped from the driver side), or I'm parked further from the road then the suspect, so my car doesn't get hit (when I approach the suspect from the passenger side). The traffic stop should be triggered when the ped turns his/her engine off.

Another feature I'd like to see is, being able to write why you pulled him/her over for. For example a little text box appears where you can write anything. Obviously peds can't react to it, but they can't really react to the 4 commands we have right now.

And at last, it'd be nice if you couldn't just check their license, but also what car they own. For example most of the times, the peds drive their own car, but sometimes you could find peds that are driving other people's car, and you'd get a message if the car was reported stolen or not.

if caine can add siren mute to els 7.1 that might eliminate the problem of cars hitting you during traffic stop and too would like to see the park behind suspects car I wana be able to park anywhere behind it and not literally have to bump into it

I agree, realistically they aren't parked right behind them, I like to park one car length behind the vehicle when I pull them over, but I have to go behind them then reverse. This new updated way would be something I'd love to see.

If I helped, I would appreciate you pressing the green arrow to the right of your screen!

I don't know about the trigger for it, I think it is ok as it is now, albeit could be better (mostly having the "get out of your car" message begin more of a radius around the car, or at least making it such that the ped drives a little further forward if we're not satisfied with where they stopped before we get out (just like in reality.)

On the second part, agreed, would be a need addition.

On the last part, would also be a neat thing to add on, along with the ped producing the car's registration and insurance papers, just like a Police officer would want in reality. If you don't have those in order, or can't produce them, you usually get a citation IRL. As it is right now, if I get a owner Warrant, for example, I pull over the car, and when I run the ID, if the person isn't the person we're looking for (i.e. Computer comes up with no wants for the ped we pulled over), I set them off with a warning, on the assumption that it is not the person we're looking for. I'm not sure how the procedure would be handled IRL though through various departments.
