GTA 4 - No car engine sound

Featured Replies

Hello,

I recently installed engine sound mods with Spark4, however, when I start the game, the cars remain quiet - No engine sound at all.
I replaced sounds for POLICE2, FBI, PSTOCKADE and POLICE - now they all have no engine sound. I can only hear the tires, wind glass break etc...

I played the game for 20 mins to see if they sounds will pop in, but they didnt.

Any help on how to make the sounds appear will be appreciated.

ps.
Dont tell me to reinstall the game.

Restart? It can happen. & Be sure you rebuilt it.

Restart? hehe That's the first thing everybody does when something doesnt work as it should I guess. :)

It works now, but NOT after restarting :)

That's because it needs to load, just like textures ^

& I also have a problem with the Ford Crown Victoria Sound, sometimes it doesn't load in the game & I nee to restart, no matter how long I wait.

If you want my attention, quote me.

either that, or something is up in your vehicle ide file. I put a truck in a car slot, copied the ide sound I wanted, and there was something that I missed, the vehicle spawned just fine, but drove with no sound lol
