ALPR and Emergency Vehicles

Featured Replies

So I was patrolling in my good ol' LCPD Crown Vic when ALPR came up that a vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run. Low and behold, the vehicle was an ambulance.

Anyways, I'm reporting two issues here:

  • Emergency vehicles refuse to pull over (even if pressing shift while behind them) even if they're marked by ALPR.
  • Attempting to begin a pursuit of an ALPR-triggered any emergency vehicle fleeing the police causes a CTD.

I've attached AdvancedHook.log and LCPDFR.log as required. This issue kinda makes the mod undesirable as ALPR seems to like triggering on ambulances (this is only the first time I decided to chase them). If ALPR is an actual system (ie, logs vehicles leaving crime scenes, hitting peds, etc), then ALPR being triggered by ambulances is likely caused by the FDLC and MS Paramedics REALLY needing driving lessons.

Any feedback and/or solutions are well appreciated. I'd like the paramedics that drove this ambulance, and subsequently ended the world, that they are not above the law.

Emergency vehicles such as ambulances or firetrucks will NOT pull over. They used to in 0.95, but it was removed in 1.0.

Also if it is an emergency vehicle, you really should try not to chase it, because they won't pull over anyway and it would be wasting time from my point of view, the ambulances popping up on the ALPR is most likely just a small glitch.

Chasing them worked fine. I finally managed to get them stopped by parking my car perpendicular to them in front, and I got the driver arrested. It was only when the second Paramedic became marked as a suspect and drove off (and I subsequently tried to call in a pursuit) that I got the crash.

Hello,

thanks for your report, I'll have a look.

Now that you have reported it. Now you wait. If it is a bug, then the Dev Team will most likely find and fix it and will probably give the fix to us in an update of 1.0.

No offense, but while I am new to lcpdfr.com, I know how Bug Reporting works. Not trying to be rude, but there's no need for the tutorial.
