Just checking, this.. currently.......... does not integrate "into" the game, but rather you alt-tab out, and update the info as you go... (for reports like actual officers do?)

How does the "outstanding calls" work? does that somehow actually start a call in my game for me to respond to?

As Brave said, this MDC system does not actually "integrate" into the game. When you accept a 911 call VIA "Outstanding Calls" you would go to your in game map and find the location, mark it and respond how you would respond in real life, IE: CODE 3, CODE 2, CODE 1. Once you arrive at the scene depending on the call you can find the individual that matches (if any) the description in the original call. You would then go "Generate" the person VIA the site. The person's information that the CrimeGen MDC creates would be the name, DOB and Address of that person.

You would then search the suspect(s) up in the "Persons Check" and then go from there.

If you have any direct questions about how to "use" or "operate" the MDC, let me know I'd love to help you out.

EDIT:

Also, that is just how I do it, you don't actually have to go how they would in real life. You can do what you want how you want, you aren't bound by regulations ;)

I've had the weekend off so I've been working on the prosecution stuff. Anyone willing to work this role please PM me your username and a little about why you'd like to do it. I ask that only those who have experience with the legal system (US and/or UK or other) to apply as you will have quite a lot of decisions to make.

Can I also ask that you try to use generic phrasing, do not use any UK or US specific terms or codes or anything. I want to keep everything to plain English so it can apply to more than one police and legal system.

Cheers

So let's say I get a call about a fight in a Burger Shot, I'd go there, alt tab out, generate the people and work the case, then do the file and submit it, basically?

Another quick call to anyone who would be interested in role-playing as a prosecutor, please PM me details.

Thanks

I'm slowly getting used to it, if the interface is confusing, I'm not taking calls as a prosecutor, clear conflict of interest there. I feel bad being set to off duty though....

All Prosecutors, if you are also doubling as an Officer, please do not prosecute your own cases. I did that once but ain't going to do it again to be fair.

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to crimegen.site90.net

-------

Weird, I was just on it, decided to close it on my gaming pc, and use my laptop for the site, so i dont have to alt-tab out.. and it was suddenly not found.... (or I got blocked somehow?)

a few minutes later its up again.. servers.. ugh.. lol

Again, splendid work Braveheart. I've been using this system since you first posted on this forum

and it's just great to see it grow like this. The prosecutors are a great adition as well in terms of realism.

Thank you for providing us with a such a magnificent tool.

Anyone else who is willing to work a prosecutor role PM me! We only have three (five with status) active at the moment. As someone pointed out earlier too, don't pass decisions on your own crime reports, that defeats the point.

A dispatcher role will also be available shortly with responsibility for managing calls, passing calls to available resources etc. More on that later.

I would be willing to do some prosecution work as well. What I do suggest is that the prosecutors try to type a real sentence and fill in the demanded sentence as well as the sentence spoken by a judge since the prosecutor is not the one who speaks the sentence.

For example: "Regarding the evidence...(fill in the evidence that could incriminate him/her or other incriminating circumstances),the prosecution demands 1 year of imprisonement and a 500 dollar fine." After that you put the judge's sentence with possible extenuating circumstances or other reasons for a milder sentence or acquittal.(just make stuff up) For example: "Taking into account the clean criminal record and the financial status of the accused,The Liberty City Municipal Court sentenced the suspect to 250 hours of community service."

Opinions are more than welcome.

kjel0112 - is that your username on the system? And you're right the prosecutor's do not pass sentence, they recommend to the court. My intention was to have prosecutors work the case - as if it goes to court - then they submit a finilised record of 1. Their recommendations to the court and 2. The court's judgement. I was going to include judges too but I think prosecutors are enough!

@Brave: yes, that's my username on the system as well. So I'm allowed to fill in the demanded and the spoken sentence?

With the right amount of imagination of course

Yes - I've given you access to the tools.

That is a work in progress deputyreyes, however my intentions are to have a team of dispatchers (experienced is preferred but not essential) whose responsibilities will be to create new incidents which will show up as outstanding calls (guidelines will be in place to keep them all inline with each other), pass calls to any resources which have marked themselves as available for calls and to pass updates to on-going/in progress incidents in officers' workbaskets as if the caller called back with more information.

I'd like to hear any thoughts you may have.

Also side note - there's a huge problem with crime reporting at the minute, if you plan on submitting any reports please save the details and hold off as they will disappear.
