Got my letter a couple weeks ago...

 

Not a good sign, right? Right. I was rejected, and quickly applied to two more departments, Elkhart, and South Bend.

 

I'm sure one of those will hire me. They're much larger, and hire more officers, more often.

 

Better luck next time, I suppose.

 

Keep your head up and keep applying. It took me a couple years before I ever got accepted into the NYPD. Just a tip, in some departments, they come up with a scenario and ask how you would handle it. Always stand strong to whatever your answer is, they might try and trick you by asking why you wouldn't do some other scenario they come up with. And if any situation involves shooting someone, be confident in your answer. They might ask why, and then you start second guessing yourself that maybe lethal force wasn't applicable....don't do that.

    Thanks, man. I just applied to the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department, and St. Joe County Jail. 

     

    I'm not discouraged. I know it takes a while, I'll get it eventually. Thanks for the tips. I'll keep that in mind.

     

     

    Damn man, good luck in those departments! I know that feel to get rejected :sad:
