Police Station Barriers

Featured Replies

Hey All,

Minor issue.

Somewhere down the line I have lost all the barriers from my police station at San Juan and across the Island's, I cant work out how to get them back.

I'm in single player mode and using XLive.

Any ideas how to get them to show?

Nick.

The barriers at the police station in Algonquin.

Its the main station at the top right of the Island. The entry/exit barriers have disappeared :(

I'll get you one when I'm next in game.

It's all barriers across the map, including the Airport etc.

Made changes to ped proper, component peds, vehicle and weapons.

I'll have a play about and see what I can do.

incidentally, I don't suppose you know if there will be any more fixes for LCPDFR 1.0 as I still get severe game crash :(

Most crashes aren't due to LCPDFR, but due to GTA IVs poor coding. The devs are working hard at fixing general LCPDFR crashes at the moment, maybe your type of crash will be fixed.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

I don't suppose there is anything known to stop crashing on certain call outs and on pursuits?

Try reducing your vehicle.img file by using low poly cars, and try removing ELS for testing purposes.  Of course, this assumes you modded up your cop cars and using ELS.  Also, remove all additional scripts and see how it runs.  Reduce your draw distance and vehicle density in the in-game graphics settings.

Then if it runs well enough to enjoy it, add one mod at a time and run the game for awhile.  This way you know what is causing issues.

Ex:  Some models of cars will just crash your game.  I'll add a new CVPI and every now and then it will just crash my game (bad model, bad code, bad mapping...who knows).  When I remove it, all is well again.  If I had added 3-cars and a few scripts at once, without testing each mod, I'd have no idea what the issue is and probably difficult to track down between all the mods added at the same time.

EDIT: may help with barrier issue.  If your pushing your 'puter hard, you may experience extras that will not spawn.  Always a good idea to reduce vehicle.img, remove scripts and reduce graphic settings, run the game for a while, to see if the base install is working fine to begin with.

Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback.

If it's graphics related then I'm happy to just do without. I wasn't sure if it was a setting that I had tampered with.

Thanks for all the help.
