Paramedic drives like an asshat.

Featured Replies

My game isn't crashing, it's just the stupid AI paramedic is all over the place.

Whenever I call in for an ambulance, the driver usually:

1. crashes directly into my vehicle,

2. smashes into other vehicles,

3. drives right past me and then struggles to turn around,

4. and sometimes the second paramedic gets out, and the drive continues to keep stepping on the gas and ramming into everything.

Sometimes it's even the cops too while in pursuit, they have a whole empty road in front of them and yet they always smash into me. It's highly annoying. Can that be fixed in an update?

Well, kind of. But it is hardcoded into the game. The LCPDFR Devs have tried to fix the police driving AI, but it's as far as I know, not possible to improve it further.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

Abraxas improved the paramedic AI greatly with his most recent version of PoliceHelper; they actually seemed to have known what they were doing if called through that mod.  As far as I'm aware updates to PoliceHelper have ceased due to real-life obligations, however.

I have to agree with you there. Thankfully, PoliceHelper seems to work just fine with LCPDFR 1.0. Especially if you disable world events and traffic events in the policehelper.ini file. I use police helper for the traffic cones, fire extinguisher, checking the ID of street vendors (shows if they even have a vending license) and taxi cab drivers (shows if they have a valid taxi license). And of course, calling an ambulance. The way the paramedics are handled are great. You call them on scene, they arrive in a much quicker fashion, do not mash the hell out of everything in their path, and if the person is dead, they can remove the body.

I don't play LCPDFR without it.
