Hi

 

So recently I re-installed GTA 4, Installing my mods (ELS and lcpdfr), and besides that a visualsettings.dat (to reduce lighting and reflections, causes FPS boost).

 

I've been using them for a while so I dont think they are the cause, but ever since I re-installed I now see random "STOP" barriers spawning on mailboxes and newspaper stands, as well as the middle of the street. Along with that, car washes are spawning on certian sidewalks. Its really odd and I've never had it before, so heres a few screenshots. (Sorry for the large size.)

Using SNT? Make sure to disable hotkeys if they are appearing when you press keys.

Not using any trainers, just LCPDFR and ELS at the moment.

 

As for the save file, if thats the case then Im screwed and have to deal with it. I cant make a new save game for some reason, when i was fiddling with crap earlier I tried multiple times, just crashes upon loading a new game. It most likely could be though, because when I re-installed GTA 4 from steam it used all my files from over 9 months ago, and I had to replace a bunch of stuff so its possible the old save could of carried over.

The game apparently stores a bunch of stuff in the save game files. When installing most new mods, it's usually good to wipe all saves and settings.

 

 

Also could be a corrupt save file.

 

Turns out it was my savefile.

 

Got a new game to work, everythings good.

Just for future reference, all extra spawns that seem out of place is most likely a corrupt save. 

TO DELETE THE CAR WASH PARTS SPAWNING OVER BENCHES.... Using OpenIV, Find and Backup,

 

car_wash_slide_1.wdr

car_wash_slide_2.wdr

cj_car_wash_barrier.wdr

cj_car_wash_ticket.wdr

car_wash_roller_l.wdr

car_wash_roller_r.wdr

 

Then delete the original files in open IV, and this will delete the maps for the car wash parts in the game, the car was itself will be empty, but who cares lol 😉 Know im a bit late but it infuriated me to the point of deleting the models XD
