what the hack is EVCS?

Personally, I prefer ELS, but EVLS uses coronas so you can actually wreck your car. I'm fine if I cant wreck my car, I won't get chewed out by the supervisor :P

What exactly are we voting on? The number of letters in each mod? EVCS wins by 1 over ELS then......

To everyone who doesn't know what EVCS means or what this vote is about.

 

EVCS - Emergency Vehicle Control System - developed by Grady Featherstone, over at GPM - EVCS Topic at GPM.

EVCS is a Lighting system, but unlike ELS, it uses the Coronas system instead of the Parts system.

Currently it's in Open Beta (with Closed Beta testers too).

 

 

My vote on-topic: None.

Currently EVCS is in Open Beta. So I don't think this is the right time to compare EVCS with ELS.

 

However, if you still want my opinion. Then, ever since EVCS Beta was released I've been using it. Because even though I don't like driving around in a damaged car, I do like that EVCS allows your vehicle to be damaged, & since there's no "constant repairing" of your vehicle, the infamous "door bug" of ELS is non-existent in EVCS. Plus I think the lights look better.

I know what EVCS is. I'm just saying this is a stupid topic, possibly a flame topic, due to an unhelpful OP.

Listing two items and then saying VOTE does not make a topic.

He should list what we should be voting on- overall, looks, usability, or something else. Then, he should put a small explanation for each category, so that people unfamiliar with each system can get a brief overview.

or he could of just waited until the next version comes out or wait until evcs is actually completely done for there to be something worthy of voting this thread is pointless

If anyone is going to cause the flame war it's going to be you, you're the one being ignorant here, he's asking what we prefer more, I prefer ELS, why does he need an explanation if you're the only one who doesn't know what either one is?  you seem to be the ONLY one who doesn't understand, by the way, if you are unfamiliar, then use google and don't be such a douche, it's unbecoming.

If someone says "Vote between two options", in the absence of more information, the normal default assumption is that you're voting which one you like better overall.

This thread is not useless. There is a EVCS version out so there is the capability to try out EVCS and see which one you like better. For those who think this thread is useless why post here?

Don't be a smart alack. If you aren't being a smart alack then this post is to see which one people prefer.. ELS or EVCS?

if you don't know what either 1 is and how to make a choice then thats sad he doesn't need to make a full statement in his orig post

 

All of us who play know the difference and all about ELS and EVCS without some1 explaining it to us

I still prefer Non ELS due to in game stability and the extra frame rate that comes with it. For clans and people that can't run ELS due to destabilization errors, EVCS is a GODSEND answer to our problems. Since, you know. No body has even done a simple script to turn on in normal mode the base game lights without the siren STABLY in MP (I know LCPDFR has one for SP, but MP is what's needed. SO yeah, I prefer EVCS. Not that I am biased towards loving Grady or nothing (NO homo).
