First off im using windows 8, Secondly when I downloaded the game it wouldn't start after the social club login. I found a fix for that however it wont let me sign into GFWL to play LCPD FR with my friends.

 

 

Please help me, Everything ive tried has failed.

Did you use the XLIVE asi loader? Does the file xlive.dll exist in your GTA directory?

Could you run the diag tool ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>) and post the generated log here? Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.

Also, download and extract Scripthook.dll and ScripthookDotNet.asi files to your GTA IV directory. (http://www.hazardx.com/details.php?file=83)

I am using xlive, That was the fix to get my gta iv going after it wouldn't start at the social club login

Hmm, I downloaded the GFWL link you gave me, But whenever I load it up it says it has compatibility issues then doesn't do anything. Thanks for responding

XLIVE disables the live portion of the game. Remove and replace with DSOUND instead.

Where could I find this Dsound, I saw some stuff on the web about dsound.dll but I wasn't sure. I also had trouble finding a download link

Remove xlive.dll and reinstall LCPDFR, and choose DSOUND instead.
