Can Someone Explain Me This

Featured Replies

Hey,

So I added another added car in SNT and it spawns and I can drive it. I cannot use ELS with it. I have POLICE5 enabled (because that is what the model name is) and I have a config file in use for that vehicle. All the lights are steady on and I cannot change them. Other cars I have added using added cars in SNT have worked with ELS.

I believe ELS only reads what's in Vehicles.IMG. Not Morevehicle.img or newvehicles.img or whatever POLICE5 is located in.

But try this

[ POLICE ]
Status = on
File = default_config

Yeah but my other cars in newveicles.img work fine with ELS.

ELS v7 added vehicles only works with very specific added vehicle names. Off the top of my head, I think that's EMERG1-EMERG7, but I don't quite remember - it may be police5, but I don't think so. You can't call your added vehicles whatever you want; you have to call them something from the list of acceptable names.

Where Can I Get A List

Do the added cars that do work happen to be called police3, police4, or policeb?

Yes. All of those that have those names work.

a) Read the ELS 7 manual.

b) Those actually aren't really added cars. They are coded into GTA (even IV) as special police vehicles, and are supported by most scripts. That's because they're built in to TBOGT. I think the ELS series is emerg1-emerg7, and the sirens don't make cars pull over. For truly added cars, you *can't* make the siren pull cars over. At least, no one's figured out a way yet.

I bet you can make cars pull over with added cars, butt it'll take a shitload of scripting.
