Sorry but if you tracked that guy with his cell # without a warrant etc   then its almost certain 100% illegal

 

Hell if that guy wanted to he could file stalking charges against you, possible other charge's as well

Actually, I could see it being possible to use FB or the like for location tracking, as smartphones are much more likely to leave an online trail if you aren't careful. I have a normal phone and set it to only share locations with 911, which is why you'd have trouble tracking me. But I retract my strongest doubts about your buddy finding where she was.

And I think lots of people would love to file charges against Facebook (for example, I'd like to charge them with wasting my time). Unfortunately, the law doesn't think that's a crime :(

If you read anything I said, my friend found the last knowing area. But from what I heard its the same way facebook/meetme track your location.

He found this information about the said male via the internet (assuming Facebook) which we are all open to do as well. (Clearly this guy has no privacy settings in place). He has not confronted the male through the internet (that I am aware of) so therefore there has been no stalking/cyber stalking. That's like saying we're all stalkers for reading Sam's about me portion of his profile. All information obtained by Darkangel containing this particular male is all open source. No harm was done by him looking up this information, at all!

 

Please K-9, back up your statements. Makes arguing/debating with people oh so much more fun.

and do me a favor your only 16 go through a pre police academy and take 7 year's of college lvl law / Criminal Justice  classes before trying to sound smarter / act like you know more than every1 else  where my instructor's were both former and current Police officer's at all lvl's including Fed's, and were also current and former lawyer's

Do you know what the definition of stalking is?

Now, please show me where looking at open source information on the internet falls under any of the said categories. 

I understand you may not know much about the law. Neither do I(US Laws), but there is no evidence of "stalking/cyber-stalking" shown in any of the posts. 

Please, do not bring the phone geolocator(software used by facebook etc) into this, as that is a different matter all in all.

No, not wishful thinking, facts. 

On this site, to rate a members profile you have to visit the profile and be a registered member. Before you visited my profile 40 minutes ago I was on three stars thanks to Mustu. Then I check my profile and it says 2 stars, I look to see who recently visited my page and you were the only one in the time frame. Explain that.

 

Regarding the not showing cyber-stalking definition; I did, did you not click open the spoiler? I quoted the definition from the State University: "University of Houston"
