How do I play GTA IV Online

Featured Replies

I have the  LCPDFR Mod installed and working. I can play offline fine. But when I try an get online from the Cell phone it says must be signed into windows live. Someone told me to hit the HOME key on my keyboard when at the main menu and it will pop up the windows live but nothing happens. I have a windows live account and a xbox live account. So idk what is going on and I have re searched online an there is some people who have videos about it but there is so many steps to playing online i just think there has to be another way to play online.

you dont make the games though the HOME menu, you do it view the ingame phone

Check if there is a file called xlive.dll in your GTA IV directory. It works as a script loader, but will block any windows live functions in the game.

Remove xlive.dll and replace it with another script loader like dsound.dll: http://www.fileplanet.com/221332/220000/fileinfo/Grand-Theft-Auto-IV---ASI-Loader
