Not pick a car

Featured Replies

Would it be possible to script these in either with the stock FR or via user made scripts?

Sometimes I don't want to pick a car, I just want to do foot patrol but it maes me go through the step of picking a car, pus some car mods I've used in the past make IV or EFLC crash. So, would it be possible to pick a model/skin and then have a button to optionally skip the pick a car bit when you get outside, or not spawn directly in the car but have to walk to it?

Additionally, would it be possible to make the AI drive to a call or waypoint a la LA Noire? Probably not but I do recall one mod that claimed to drive to waypoints.

All this can be done via the Simple native trainer. You can force duty with LeftCtrl+P, change the wanted level status to "Never Wanted". Change the model to a cop model and Voila! On duty without going to the station.

The AI can be instructed to drive to a waypoint in the trainer, read the trainer readme for instructions. (http://www.gta4-mods.com/script/simple-trainer-version-65-f2115).

But not everyone has or wants to use the SNT though, IV is bad enough on PC (see LCPDFR's errors and script errors) and I don't want to add another mod on top of LCPDFR and Braveheart's scripts, I have a second IV install on another HD for my modded IV (cars, scripts) and that's pretty unstable.

Even when I do use it, LCPDFR makes me pick a car when I pick the skin and walk outside, it makes me pick a car. You can't get around that with SNT easily. Or, to put it another way you can't not pick a car once you're in the station and picked a skin.....which LCPDFR tells you to do.

Whichever way you look at it SNT is a workaround, not a solution.

1. I get that, it really is unstable.

2. Not if you press LeftCtrl+P to force duty.

3. That's your opinion :p Haha but seriously, I'll look around for a better solution.

Like ineseri said, the only solution is to use the SNT. Unless you are able to change what your ped looks like via the in-game console. If you are able to change what your ped is via the in game console, then you would ALT+P to initialize LCPDFR then LControl+P to force duty. But if you aren't able to change via the in-game console, you are pretty much stuck.

You can also use the in-game trainer, the ONLY trainer I've ever used, you can change the key bindings via the ini. file & it doesn't affect anything including the ELS lights, plus it gives you a small variety of everything & you can preset everything so that when the game loads you don't have to set anything, except change characters, weapons, cars etc..

It's very easy to use.
