Things To Do While On The Road.

Featured Replies

What are some things to do while on a long drive? Please try to be creative and not give already obvious stuff such as sleeping or listening to music on the radio ect.

One of the things I like to do is play a game with everyone in the car in which to goal is to find the most license plates that are not from the the state you are currently in. If you find an out of country plate you get extra points ;). It's called the out-of-state plate game. Try it sometime!

  • Depending on where you are, "spot the cop" is a game that is almost guaranteed not to annoy the driver.

I would try that game, if we had states here... I guess I have to look out for out-of-country plates instead.

What I usually do is to try and guess what the different road-signs mean (taking my drivers license, so I have to anyway) and then someone will say if it's right, or wrong. Good practise actually for upcoming tests.

Molten: I come here everyday, mostly for advice about women.

Maybe that's why I am single.

Oh I also check for new police models, textures etc. That might actually be the bigger reason I'm single.

You can Jus Relax, If you can Position your Chair in a Confy or most Confy

Position. Enjoy the Trip enjoy the State you are going Threw, Hope you get

to see Law Enforcement. Scan threw the Radio Stations and Hopefully find

a Good one that will last the whole Trip Threw Nebraska on Interstate 80.

Also if you have to go on Interstate 70 Try to go on Interstate 80 Cause

Interstate 80 is WAY, WAY SHORTER Than Interstate 70, if you are going

on that Area in America. I know this by Experience, Cost an extra Tank of

Fuel or Two more as well.

Mad libs are pretty fun to do in the car. You don't even really have to buy one of the mad lib books, you could just make up your own (there is probably an app for that :teehee:).

I honestly hate sleeping in the car. It just feels so dirty to me. I usually just evaluate my life, what I recently did, or what I could do better. It's a great pastime, but once you realize you're doing it, you get instantly bored.

Additionally, I like pestering my parents by saying, "ARE WE THERE YET!?!?!" every five seconds.

I can't really do anything else, because if I don't look out the window, I instantly get car-sick.

Well when i'm driving I like to close my eyes and pretend i'm driving blind.

If i'm a passenger with my friends we always make fun of other persons driving and what not. Once we had a very loud fake fight just so people driving past would look at us and go WTF. Or we will bring a long horse masks and everyone (but the driver) will put one on and just stare out the windows at people.

whenever i have to go on a road trip i always bring my laptop

I always bring my gamecube in the car and hook it up to a 5 inch portable screen. Playing splitscreen on that is the best, because you can't see anything!

*Notice: Do not try this with an xbox 360, the game will fall out of the disk drive and scratch itself irreparably (I bumped mine once when it was sitting on the floor and it ruined my forza 3 disk).

Look around. Seriously, plenty of long-distance roads in the US actually go through either beautiful areas or cities (at least in the East).

I would try that game, if we had states here... I guess I have to look out for out-of-country plates instead.

Protip: Don't just identify road signs. Pay attention to things like when the driver merges/changes lanes, how they're looking around, where they stop at stop signs (stop lines are often misplaced), how fast they go, where cars are around you (e.g. how much space is between them), etc. Knowing road signs is generally mandatory to get a license, but it's far less important for actual safe driving than situational awareness and a sense of how to operate in traffic. Many road signs just tell you things you should have noticed anyway, or things that are generally of minor importance.

I just look at the window for hours after hours.

-Read an book, go to sleep, Try and fart in the car (that's fun to do), Play an game on the Iphone, Text to people for hours, Eat in the car for hours.
