Some Gameplay-Questions about realism handling (LCPDFR+Pol.Scripts+Pol.Helper)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I play LCPDFR (v.095 RC2)  since a week, and I really love this mod.

Here at this site I found more additional mods, like Bravehearts Policing Script (v 2.4.2) and the Police Helper (v 1.2.1) with a lot of callouts.

I'm going to arrest robbers, drunk or aggressive drivers, give first aid for wounded people or drive them to the hospital, check people IDs, or yell for a taxi for the drunks ;)

In the Police Helper Mod you can also give back the stolen items to the victims.

And now the questions.

1. In Bravehearts Policing Script there are robber-callouts, too. In the radar you have the robber and the victim, but I never found out what's the matter of the victims. When I frisk the robber I often found nothing, so I can only arrest the robber. Is there anything I can do with the victim (e.g. give him his money/mobile phone back)?

2. In the Policing Script controls there is the function: "Order out of vehicle" with aim + Alt-F. There's also the function: "Order to get back in vehicle" with Alt-Y

When I'm aiming at the person to order them out of the vehicle, they're afraid, get off, raise the hands and run screamingly away. I can't order to get back in the vehicle. They do not listen to me anymore. How can I really order to get out or back in the vehicle?

3. When I get a drunken or aggressive driver callout from the Policing Script I can't use the controls from the first response mod for the road check anymore.

Is there another way to appease the driver in the "Policing-Script-Pursuit-Mode" with a minimal chance, that he stopped the vehicle? Or do I always have to ram suspects vehicle, get out of my car, aim and press Alt-F (or shot him down)?

4. A question for the same callouts from Policing Script (drunk/aggressive driver): I've read in the forum, that the pursuit backup from LCPDFR >doesn't work for Policing Script.
When I get a x-driver callout from the Policing Script is there another way to get backup to take up the pursuit?

5. Does anybody knows a gear box mod for 1.0.7.0?

That's all :)

Thanks for the LCPD-FR-Mod, for the Policing-Script-Mod an vdH for his PoliceHelper :)

When LCPDFR 1.0 is released, it will have an API that will allow other scripts to communicate with LCPDFR, as well as a way for anyone to create callouts for it. This should solve the problems with LCPDFR functions not working. However, the other scripts will have to be updated. I don't know about Braveheart (creator of Policing Script), but Abraxas (creator of Police Helper and all other vdH mods) has left the modding scene for the most part because of personal reasons. To answer each question:

1) Nope, nothing else you can really do.

2) That's just the way GTA IV's AI is, nothing you can really do.

3) As I said above, LCPDFR and Policing Script cannot currently communicate, so you won't be able to use LCPDFR's functions.

4) Same as above, there is no way to get backup.

You have to aim at them from behind where they can't see you.

Yes.. Braveheart wrote already, why he stopped modding. And I hope he is fine now.

Thanks for the answers.

And one question I've added:

5. Does anybody knows a gear box mod for 1.0.7.0? I don't want to hit the W-key one hundred times per second to drive exactly 30 mph ;)

I tried it ;) But it happens exactly the same. They scream and run away :(

I believe this is what you want: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Edit: Or this one (which I believe is better, but I've never used either): '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
