I'm now at my wit's end with this mod, I'm ready to give up! HELP!

Featured Replies

Okay, 3rd problem of the day! My EFLC is missing the "Root" folder, where DSOUND.dll and other such annoying files should be . When the files that were supposed to be in the root folder were not in a folder, it wouldn't even let me play the game, so I made a new folder myself, and named it "root". I then put all the files into the root folder that were supposed to be there, and it did let me start the game, but when I pressed alt-P, the graphics just changed. Nothing else. I'm really at my wits end with this thing! I have un-installed EFLC so I am ready to start again. I really need help here! Any help would be appreciated

Mark

Make sure you press the the left alt key, not the right one.

That's not my main problem, the main problem is the missing root folder, but I was pressing the left Alt and nothing was happening,

Wait wait wait...There is not supposed to be any folder anywhere for any game called Root...The 'Root' folder is the first game folder, for example:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\

When it says to put files in the 'root' folder, it means to put them in the first game folder you come to, like the example above (Note: You're looking for EFLC, not GTA IV).

If you look real hard in the downloads section and I mean look hard , you will see these files called, lcpdfr 9.1 and 9.5 beta one click installer, download one or the other and wait for it to get done, when its done, dont be scared to click on the one click installer, read real good what it says (DO NOT) put your name and password in the thing that says hey give me your name and password, skip that hit instal, and then my freind you shall have LCPDFR

Download the installer, why are you playing with files?

Sorry for being a pest and stealing your time away from you, Jay. I thought there should actually be a folder called "root", I didn't know it was just the first file. My mistake...

P.S. Trying to tell me ANYTHING about computer programming or anything to do with complex computer talk is a waste of your time.

Root Directory: In computer file systems, the root directory is the first or top-most directory in a hierarchy. It can be likened to the root of a tree — the starting point where all branches originate.

Okay, I've got it. I haven't a clue if LCPDFR is working or not, haven't tried yet, but I did what you said, let's see if it works :)

Don't appreciate the sarcasm, but I know what I'm doing now. Thanks... kinda.
