So I got my first taste of MP today but didn't get to enjoy it long. From the reading I have done it seems me GTA.exe keeps crashing. I believe this is probably do to myself and the other person having different cars installed. I have changed so many though what do we have to do? Replace them all with GTA stock cars and maybe just agree on one PD car to add or is it better leaving all the stock cars in the game? What about ELS? will that cause problems to? Any other advice? 

If you want to run multiplayer with less crashes, remove all mods. That's the sad truth. My recommendation is to play with scriptmods only and keep the vanilla cars. 

Ok that is kinda what I figured. Now to find all the stock files lol. I didn't back up when I started changing everything. Maybe a fresh install wont hurt.

Sadly that. If you have the steam version you can revalidate the local files.

I agree, I am still learning. I started a private MP game yesterday with just me just to see how it's done, this morning I have some trial and error but I was able to start one, invite a friend, play for 5 minutes then I crashed, I restarted the game, he invited me back but as soon as he tried to get in my car I crashed again.

well if its private and it crashes you might want to take some time to look into a command line. if it says running to slowly or things like that.

I did get one error that said it shut down from running to slow. 

My computer is probably border line minimum just to run the game "Dual core 2.8 with 4 gigs of memory and GeForce 9800GT video card.

like I said its always best to stick a command line in the gta iv directory just to be safe. I did even though I don't need it! :)

This. You can prevent memory-leaks with the commandline.

Explain "Command Line" please? When it shut down it was not the game, the error I got was in GTA it's self, it said I was removed from MP because my computer was running to slow. It is kinda odd really, sometimes the game plays awesome, others it is not playable.

I was thinking the same thing. I really enjoy the mods I have and I think the only way to keep them would be to start a group and requier the same mods for people joining.
