New Computer Build

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

I need some advice on a new build I am planning to do.  Problem is it can only be between $600-$700 at most.  It has to be able to run gta iv with a good amount of frame rate (30-45 fps would be ideal).  Here is what I have now, but what do you think? Feel Free To Give Me Other Builds and Comment On Mine!

I would spend the extra money for the Geforce GTX 660.. (ASUS version) Also for the extra $20-$30 its worth it, I have this card and its awesome, with the dual fans it never gets hot...

Just because I heard bad things about the 650 under stress...

I agree. Try and find a 660 Ti and make sure it is 2 GB, you will be able to run everything very well. I love my 660 Ti 3GB Over Clocked! So good.

660TI is a waste of money, its only about 5% increase of performance nothing you can really notice. Its not something to spend a extra $100 on.

Yea but mines overclocked to a 3GB instead of a 2GB. Plus I got it on sale.

Yeah, It's great until they run out of your ASUS Radeon HD 7950 3GB video card just as I was about to buy it.

Yeah, up until then...

SCNG FTW!!

^^ Plus if you get an FX series processor like an 8 core, its an 8 core, not 4 then 4 threads. Plus you can really over clock the s**t out of AMD processors generally. But if you intend to do overclocking dusk I'd also look into some good cooling.
