I have GTA IV on my computer it works fine except when I exit the game it crashes on me

It has been doing it and I need to figure out why

interesting issue how about you reinstall it that is the only thing i can think of

Is it a legal copy of the game? Are you running the game as administrator? Are you using the latest patch? 

I HAD the same problem, There is no solution, Its just a mod, what corrupts your game, did you save your caracter with a mod running? Like LCPDFR?

 

Oh, Btw, why i wrote HAD, i stopped gtaiv, and now im addicted to GTA.v.

When that happens, I just hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and then go into the task manager, processes, GTA IV and hit "End process". It will instantly terminate GTA IV.

This happens to me when I use a mod that adds a new model (as opposed to replacing a model), such as Sniper's Policing Tools or any map mod.

Or just press Ctrl+shift+esc to bring it up faster, or open the run menu and type "tskill gtaiv".
