1: M

2: 17-20

3: 9

4: During the day, I'm generally around a lot of people; when I'm just with one or two, and I don't know them, it feels odd. At night, though, especially if I'm alone, I generally worry when walking around and feel relieved when I see a police officer (because I'm not very likely to get mugged in full view of a cop). So, I think I actually feel better around cops at night than during the day.

5: 6

6: When I'm driving, I try to make sure I obey traffic laws, but when a cop is around, I get *really* nervous about breaking any law. I think this actually probably makes me a less safe driver: I'm just checking my spedometer too often and focusing too much on little details to fall into my driving routine. Even though I know I don't ever go fast enough to get pulled over, I still worry. Again, though, if I were in a strange area with few cars at night, I'd probably feel differently.

EDIT: Also, in general, surveys like this (where you ask a huge group and only a few choose to reply) have huge issues of self-selection bias. The people who reply may not even be representative among the people who frequent *this site*, let alone the general population.

And I thought I was done with Statistics last semester....

"Work and ideas get stolen, then you keep moving on doing your thing."

Like I've said before i'm not using all the answers here i'm just using a select few and modifying some of them based on the why (you have to read between the lines sometimes) and I'm just taking notes as things are posted nothing really official yet

Wait, so you are collecting only what you want and then modifying them?

Then what is the point of the survey. If you are going to select only certain ones and then modify them. Why don't you just make up your own answers.

1- Male

2- 16

3- 9

4- Police officers are there to protect us, I couldn't think of anyone who I'd feel more safe around.

5-10

6- If you're not doing anything wrong you haven't got anything to worry about.

I think this really differs depending on what country you're from and how you're brought up, where I live I've never had a bad experience with an officer so I am probably biased.

1- Male

2- 15 (16 in December)

3- 7-8

4- I rarely see police officers where I live, but when I do see them I know they are there to protect myself and others.

5- 10

6- They'd only be following me if I had done something wrong, and if I haven't I've got nothing to worry about.

What i mean is there is no such thing as a solid 10 answeer. aswell as if you read the why fo alot of these the values don't match up with it.

1- what is your Gender? Male

2- what is your Age? 14

3- On a scale from one to ten (1 being unsafe and 10 being the safest you've ever felt) how safe do you feel around police officers? 8

4- Why do you feel this way? Because I saw officers speeding and dangering some peoples lifes.

5- On a scale from 1 - 10 (1 being "I feel very harassed" and 10 being "I feel normal after all he is just doing his job") When you're driving on any roadway and are being followed by a police officer (not being pulled over) how do you feel? i feel like I will get pullover.

6 Why do you feel this way? Because I'm being followed.
