People worrying about GTA 5.

Featured Replies

Alright, so I have been getting a lot of messages and emails about people asking if they can run GTA 5, there theory is if they only get 20FPS on GTA 4 how in the world will they run a game that's bigger and better?

Well here is your answer....

If you can run GTA 4, you can run GTA 5. That simply, GTA 4 is a terrible game for the computer because of the way its coded. (Hint why it likes to crash and freeze) What ever is the average FPS you get on GTA 4 add about 15-20 to that. So lets say you only get 15 FPS as a average on GTA 4, add about 15 to that so you will be getting about 30 FPS maybe even more. How ever this only takes effect if GTA 5 comes out on PC and they actually know what they are doing this time and can code it right... If you already know this information don't be a douche and post something like "We alright know this" "What idiot wouldn't know that"

I don't really think people should be worrying about GTA:V yet personally in my opinion, it's still 19 days away, man, I can see it now, GTA:V topics EVERYWHERE for problems, modding, PC etc..

I'm going to go ahead and guess GTA V system requirements are going to be similar to Max Payne 3's.

Was it even confirmed for PC?

No, it hasn't even been confirmed, but I heard you could pre-order it on amazon, but they immediately took it down.

anyway.. They will most likely put it out on pc, I mean.. that's more money for them. How ever, there is alot of pirates out tehre.

Rockstar could earn a ton of money with PC version if they actually make the game mod friendly and not crackable. People from GTA communities like this one will make awesome modifications for it which will attract more buyers, more buyers means more cash, Rockstar rich and happy. I have doubts about GTA V not going to be moddable because of that taxi bug from the GTA IV.

There is no such thing as "not crackable", Period. It does not exist. If it can be made "hack-proof" It can be hacked. Ask ubisoft how long it took their "uncrackable" online DRM for splinter cell. Oh, thats right. 24 hours.

GTA was born from the PC platform, every release has been on PC, this one will also be on PC.  Don't worry about that.  I'm just hoping it comes out on PC sooner than later.  I don't want to wait until damn May or June 2014 for this thing.

That's a hell of a prediction, man. And I'm sorry to say it's likely to be a pretty inaccurate one, if you're suggesting you get to keep everything at high settings and use fancy car models imported from NFS Rivals (or whatever game modders end up using). This game isn't like GTA Vice City was to GTA III where the game used the exact same engine with some new textures and car models of the same polygon count. Although this game is based off of the GTA IV engine, the maps are extremely large compared to GTA IV, everything has a higher polygon count, there are world events similar to those in LCPDFR but on an even bigger scale, buildings are more elaborate and textures are more detailed. And the PC version may even feature actual anti-aliasing if a PC version ever does come out, since the lack of AA was a huge complaint for GTA IV. If there is a PC version of GTA V, it may indeed run on a GTA IV system, but if you have  2-3 year old computer that can crank GTA IV graphics, don't expect to max out GTA V.

I would wait until late 2014, if rockstar would rebuilt it for PC

It'll be ready when it's ready. There are a ton of other games right now and in the near future that I'd like to give my attention to other than GTA V, so I'd rather Rockstar take their time and do a console to PC port correctly this time, instead of giving us the barely passable XBOX port we got with GTA IV.
