  • Thats pretty much the same over here in the UK.   A lot of forces have a no chase policy whether or not the ejit has a helmet on.

Yeah! There were lots of unmarked cars, and i asked the Sheriff i was with while they were all patrolling the area on the blocked-off roadways, he said the unmarked cars are all driven by lieutenants and some sargents, etc. Was awesome.

BTW: In the news video linked above, i'm in the passenger seat of the HCSO impala at 1:21 in the video. We were doing rounds around the wooded area while waiting for the k9's to arrive. (Sheriff i was with was an FTO, so we got to do a bit more). We were being followed around by an HPD crown vic as you can see.

Hey Deliberent, what did the officer let you do after that capture of the minivan suspects? (Did you get to help him prosecute them or something? )

you realize prosecution is in court not on the spot right? the video is dated back to just two days ago so I doubt they have gone to court yet it usually takes a month or so

Don't worry Its not day time where I am so I am not classed as a alcoholic ;)

LOL.

&We drove over to the part of the road where they were flushed out of the woods and arrested at. He let me get out and come and stand over with him while they were patting him down thoroughly and arresting him to the point of where he was put in the car, all just about 5 feet from me. Since the robbery initiated in Montgomery county, the troopers and MCSO were the ones that had to "clean up the mess". We left soon after the arrests was made and the perimeter was collapsed.

LOL.

Not the same for London. Sometimes they will pursue motorbikes and stolen vehicles quite viciously

Great read man. Glad to see that your shift had a decent amount of action.

Appreciate it! Yeah, it was a lot of fun. I'm almost 19. They asked me if i wanted a job working the jails for them. (And surprisingly, the wage they already told me is more than i make now).

Who knows where that will go. But nonetheless, i should be doing another ride-along in the coming weeks or month or so.

For HCSO, atleast - you have to be turning 21 by the end of your academy session. So over the next 2 years i'm kind of just doing odd-jobs and whatnot. I want to get my schooling going towards my degree because i know if i do the academy at 20 (in like 13/14 months from now) then i won't have enough time to finish college in the amount of time i would like to. So i figured it couldn't hurt to get my degree/s first.
