I said F it and uninstalled and then re-installed.


Ah, I think I found the problem! I have a Norton Anti-Virus and firewall and that kept blocking the download.


Never mind, I still can't play GTA IV... Keeps crashing in the middle of loading. How would I stop that from happening?

The "root" folder is the main folder for GTA.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\grand theft auto iv\GTAIV if you have steam.

it would look like this if you had it through the disk (I assume)

C:\Program Files (x86)rockstar games\grand theft auto iv\GTAIV.

It's the folder with all of the data. It will have the folders "common" and "pc" in it.
