Any FSX players on LCPDFR?

Featured Replies

I used to play it until I found LCPDFR. I never bought one Payware, because I never found the logic in paying for something that I would play with a few times, and just forget about it. I had a lot of planes installed. I was mostly into the Commercial Jetliners, and usually never played anything else. By the time I wanted to play multiplayer, Gamespy shut it down. I was so enraged that I have never visited it since then.

I am a huge fsx simmer....     i fly almost as much as i play gta.   planes are as follows...   -pmdg 737 -majestic dash 8 -airbus ext x a320 -carenado c172,sr22,tbm850,c208 caravan -feelth

If you are really interested in flying online, I recommend that you check out VatSim (google it as I'm not allowed to advertise it), it's easy to get in to as a Pilot, you're not required to take any tests just register to get an ID then download a client that allows you to connect to thousands of people playing online at once. I think it's pretty awesome, there are courses if you would like to learn a bit more about proper radio etiquette and stuff.

I'm personally saving up my money for this http://store.gameshark.com/viewItem.asp?idProduct=4991&idCategory=173

EDIT: I know it sounds like I'm advertising it, but I'm just pointing it out cos I seen that a few of you where interested in playing online, so I thought I'd share my information with you :)

I'm currently a solo pilot working towards my private, and I've found it to be one of the best simulators out there. Even though it was released a while ago, if you want to run it on the highest settings, you need a pretty good rig. Realism wise, it is pretty much spot on. I mainly download freeware (like from simviation), but I've bought a couple of packs from Abacus, and their models are pretty good. You can usually find some good planes and websites through a couple of google searches. :)

Forgot to add my addons - PMDG 737 - 800/900/700/600 expansion, PMDG 747, PMDG JS4100, PMDG B1900D and 1900C, Aerosoft F-16, Aerosoft Twin Otter, Ceranado C90 King Air, Ceranado C208B Caravan, IRIS F-14, IRIS F-15 Mudhen Driver, IRIS F-20 Tigershark, IRIS F22 Raptor, Douglas DC3, DC4, C47, DC6B, B-1B Lancer. Thats not everything but its most of my payware stuff as far as aircraft goes plus I have a lot of freeware stuff not really worth mentioning. Then there is FS2Crew for the 737 and 747. Scenery - REX, Aerosoft Chicago, Las Vegas, Anchorage, Dangerous Airports v1, San Fransisco, Tahiti, Venice, Gilbraltar, FlyTampa Hong Kong Kai Tak and St Maarten, Lukla, and Madeira. There might be more but thats the most of it

i havnt flown in a while but i used to be with a Virtual Airline. If you like to fly FSX then you must check them out. The best one for my taste was Eastern Virtual Airlines. They have tours you can take or you can just fly daily routes assigned. Your only required to fly once a month but you can fly as often as you want as long as your hub manager is sending you assignments. Anyways, very cool, check it out. Also, it runs on a new server thing (im not a computer guy) so the gamespy issue isnt even on the same planet.

I'm such a noob.

I completely forgot how to use MCE so for the past 20 minutes I've been telling my crew random stuff while the four people I'm on Skype with have been feeding me stupider and stupider things to try.

Ah good times!

I have 500+ hours logged from the past several years but I haven't played in a long time.  I never got into the addons too much but after looking at a lot of the things posted here it's almost enough to get me started in it again.

haha exactly! I haven't flown in awhile either and its been on my mind to do it again but I always end up spending my time doing GTA stuff

Used to play... I can't even remember which airplanes I had installed, I had too many to count. I stopped playing some months ago and haven't touched it since. If I started playing again I think I would have to go through the tutorial all over to learn how to play again lol.
