Hello all, I recently ordered a new computer case and motherboard and long story short, It gets stuck on the motherboard splash screen. I've tried all things I can find to fix this, and..... nothing. I'm really hoping someone could help me out.

Motherboard is an ASrock A55 ATX PRO3 FM1

Thanks for your time,

It would help, if you explain more about your problem, What's the other hardware, and is it an new case and motherboard or second-hand. and take a image of the splash screen

My advice is that you dont try to fiddle with it, and just take it to a technichian. It'll probably be a silly thing and wouldnt cost a thing. Hopefully.

Best way to throw money out of the window. Assembling computers isn't that hard.

Can you give us all the specs of your computer please?

Well, he would at least know whats wrong with it and then take a decision from there.

Just because may go to a technician doesnt mean he has to pay for anything if he doesnt want to...

The case is a Thermaltake V4 Black edition, and I bought all of this from Newegg. Everything is plugged in correctly, I dont know the exact specs. I have a corsair H55 cpu cooling system (I just bought), Geforce GTX 660Ti, Thermaltake TR2 600W, I cant remember the cpu but its AMD

Also, when I unplug the keyboard and mouse, It goes to a screen where I have the option to "Start Windows normally" or "Launch startup repair" both end in failure

Yep I made sure I bought the correct socket motherboard

It might be A hairline crack in the mobo, or  It could be the weight of your CPU cooler But it Would help if Chippy Posts an images of the screen and computer, and tell in details of what happened and the PC specs

99.99999% of those guys use google.... I know a few people on geek squad and they only use google. They tried to tell me my entire computer was shocked and I needed to buy a new one (they tried to sell me on at best buy) then I took it home, turns out the motherboard plug wasnt in all the way. So no they really don't know anything.

Alright you said it gets stuck at the motherboard screen. Try to enter into the BIOS by hitting what ever key it is to get into it. Then make sure all your settings are correct. Here are a few trouble shoot ideas that will give you a pretty good idea what is wrong.

  • Be sure the MB is hooked to a speaker. Remove the RAM and boot the system. If the MB does not beep with an error code recognizing there is no RAM in the system, you likely have a bad MB.
  • Launch with just basic parts. (CPU, 1 stick of ram and hard drive) Report back if that works
  • Clear the COMS (I will post both ways down below) Resetting the BIOS will fix it 9/10 times. It just a freak thing that sometimes happens and the bios don't run right
  • Look for the "clrcmos" jumper on your mobo and move it to the 1-2 setting for a few seconds then back to its original 2-3 settings.
  • Remove the mobo Battery(looks like a watch battery) for 5minutes and replace it
  • Don't try this once and give up try it at least 5 times each before you give up on those remember you need to reboot each time.
  • Also try making sure your speakers are plugged in and listen to any beeps. If something is wrong it will give you a beep code.
  • POST YOUR SEPCS. If you don't know your specs I really can't help you any farther with out knowing specs. I mean really bought a computer but don't know the specs?

FIXED!!! Just reset the cmos. It's in the Asrock User Manual which you should have.

Clear CMOS Jumper allows you to clear the data in CMOS. To clear and reset the system parameters to default setup, please turn off the computer and unplug the power cord from the power supply. After waiting for 15 seconds, use a jumper cap to short pin2 and pin3 on CLRCMOS1 for 5 seconds. However, please do not clear the CMOS right after you update the BIOS. If you need to clear the CMOS when you just finish updating the BIOS, you must boot up the system first, and then shut it down before you do the clear-CMOS action. Please be noted that the password, date, time, user default profile, 1394 GUID and MAC address will be cleared only if the CMOS battery is removed.
