Zimmerman Trial Judge

I can't answer that because I'm not Zimmerman. However, if we are going to dwell on that fact, we can't ignore that Trayvon decided to double back towards Zimmerman despite being closer to his friends house.

Well I have to admit you got a point there..

Don't forget Trayvon was also high at the time.

How do you know that? Maybe because he was high he just randomly attacked Zimmerman, maybe he wasn't even effect by the high and just randomly attacked Zimmerman. Maybe Zimmerman just walked up to him and shot him. WE DON'T KNOW. STOP MAKING ACCUSATIONS!

No, this is a world where people are defending someone who had his head bashed into concrete. Had you been in a similar situation, you had probably been tempted to do the same.

I was just talking about how the judge was kind of out of line making the defense work all night after a full day of litigation, starting the next day's proceedings at 8 AM, then walking out on everyone. I can see that clearly this thread got out of hand. But on a side note, I think he should be acquitted due to the fact it's basically impossible to prove it was not self-defense.

Actually, the burden of proof is on Zimmerman to prove that it was self-defense. In court, a self-defense claim involves admitting that you killed someone, and then claiming that additional facts exist that mean that the killing was not a crime. Because the defense is putting out facts, they are responsible for proving them. It's not the same standard (generally, affirmative defenses [like self-defense] are based on "clear and convincing evidence" or "preponderance of the evidence" [the latter is just "more likely than not"], not "beyond reasonable doubt"), but the prosecution does not have the burden of proof when Zimmerman admits to the killing and claims it was justified.

As a breaking news report just came in HE IS NOT GUILTY, THANK GOD, HE DID IT IN SELF DEFENSE, GOOD THING HE AINT GUILTY!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO glad, and I hope you are too, that he is not guilty! Best thing just happened!

No! He acted in self defense. I'm sure that anyone of these people saying he was guilty would've done the same thing to protect themselves.
