1.0.4.0 or 1.0.7.0?

Featured Replies

Someone told me that Patch 1.0.4.0 has better performance that patch 1.0.7.0. Should I reinstall the game and apply patch 4? Is it worth it? Will it make a difference?

Thanks.

Yes, alot of people has said that 1.0.4.0 has better performance than 1.0.7.0 but if you install 1.0.4.0 patch you wont be able to play LCPD:FR 0.95 RC2

I didn't know that. I guess I'll stay on 1.0.7.0.

1040 is the most stable and desirable patch in the GTA4 community because its capable to run most beautiful ENBs without any major lags or performance issues. But 1070 has better shadows (which eat a lot of FPS too) and most script mods can be run on this patch only. So the guys who don't play cops all day, stick with 1040.

Even if playing as a civilian, most script mods are for the newest scripthook which only works on patch 1.0.7.0

And you can't play multiplayer on 1.0.4.0 because the game will force you to update, and you'll have to use the xliveless ASI loader so it doesn't
