Modeling question (amount of doors?)

Featured Replies

Is there a door limit for vehicles in GTA4? I have searched high and low and have only found one remote comment that didn't help at all. I am fairly new to this scene and am working on a new model and the answer to this will change the direction I go with it.

Is it only limited to six:

driver front

driver rear

passenger  front

passenger rear

trunk

hood

So, if I wanted to create something with four standard doors, three rear doors (or even just two rear doors like old suburbans), plus the hood, is that not possible?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

As gangrenn said, gta limits the number of doors on a model to six. The only suggestion I have if you is only to map the two front standard doors and have the two rear doors mapped as the rear passenger doors. Then, map the top door as the trunk. It will give you the desired effects, but it sacrifices passenger doors in the process.

Exactly what br100x said, you can do that and have the three door rear access like you posted but it would be at the sacrifice of two other doors or openings. You could use the hood/passenger rear or hood/driver rear or both rear doors if you want the bonnet to open. Unfortunately the game doesn't recognize anything more than the 4 doors, trunk and hood

Thanks to all that responded. I searched and searched and never came across this post, so thank you for the link. This Isnt the specific model that I was going for but it answers my questions. Unfortunately, that's what I was afraid of. Guess I will have to get creative. Thanks again to all.
