I was thinking about a script where you could get a bunch of officers at a main road and stop people to check their license. Not have to pull them over all the time but just stand there and be able to stop people and ask for there license. This is the way they do it in real life and catch people without a license. It's sort of like a trap

good idea. kind of like you can check a peds license. Should be put into consideration by scripters

In PoliceHelper you can check papers of people in car when it's stationary. Just stop cars using barriers or Braveheart's features and check license. PH will return info not only if licence is valid/expired/revoked but also type of licence and info if there is no insurance on vehicle.

I tried setting up a checkpoint once using Braveheart's traffic control features in his script...it didn't go well. I'll have to try it again using PoliceHelper and the police barrier instead...

An automated NPC/AI one would be nice,  otherwise you have to roleplay one.  And policehelper did all the work for one of my attempts. 

 

(one very cool thing to see,  that i dont have recorded...  With random dispatches,  i had a code 3 crown vic roaring to my checkpoint.    Slows down as it gets there and with ELS lag or something,  siren goes silent for a moment and lights stutter as it slow cruises along.   Once it is through,  it blasts off again.  Pretty good immersion,  but it wasn't part of my main video.. no recording.)

Would love to have a script that has the ai police more independently handle crimes around you.   I dont always want to initiate everything and be the centre of attention.  Being back up and assisting in different ways would be a nice change.   (for those who can't play multi)

That actually would be nice; if someone made a script where police will handle random events around you that you can assist in, or you get called to help an officer with something - not just show up and kill two people. For example, a car accident that you will respond to only to control traffic, with everything else handled automatically.

 

LCPDFR has the random event thing where police will be in foot pursuit, but the only way to help would be to arrest them yourself or get them to stop so the other guy can aim his gun at him and walk him to a car (sometimes yours).
