Hi guys,

 

I have installed ELS v7 and modded the police cars.

The game crashed giving me SMPA60 (oh darn, it's back)

I have removed GTA IV and re-installed the whole game after removing my GTA IV folder (thus clearing old files)

Now all I have installed is GTA IV 1.0.7.0, ELS, and the modded default carpack made by Caine himself.

Unfortunately all this didn't work out and it still SMPA60's me.

If you are using LtCaine pack, install the dedicated VCF files instead of using default config.

Don't know if it'll solve your issue, but anyway you should do it ^^

Make sure you have NO police cars parked at any of the safehouse parking spots. From what I read a long time ago was that SMP60 error comes up when the game tries to load a car that no longer exists, causing it to go bananas and crash. I used to get that error when I first started playing PC GTAIV because I used to save my police cars and change them afterwards. then when  I go ingame the game would crash once I get outside the safehouse.

Yes, it's the main reason, but I have this error too with ELS7 sometimes, and I don't have saved cars.

Some people are in the same case btw.

That's the case for me. I have an unmodded rebla in front of my safehouse but no police cars.

With ELS v6 I could fix this issue by turning Ai_Els_Sp to off, but with this new version I hope that it isn't that same problem again.

There are several other topics about ELS7 (or related) issues, check them, maybe you'll find an answer.

Yeah, some errors are PEBKAC, but I tried on a pure clean GTA IV with only 1 car and ELS7, nothing else, everything installed correctly, and still have random crashes, so...

the only other places i have encountered them is the save at the safe house while you are still a cop.  This has been noted in the SMPA60 thread i think.....

 

i would be curious if the game autosaves if you forget to turn off story mode...  and do some sort of mini-mission while as a cop.  So you may not notice it or think nothing much of it.

I vaguely recall crashing right away instead...

 

 

And i have had it playing around with SNT spawned cars for longer lengths of time and from spawning too many...

ahh okay another mystery.   

 

But to be a bit more specific about the Simple native trainer,   i believe it occured when i used the save car feature on too many cars...
