your mods out weigh what your 2.5 ram can do as he said u need x64 and id say at least 4 to 5 gb of ram

 

i went from 4 to ten and its amazing

 

better yet your celeron d is kinda crap see if u can find a quad core pc.

even a 4 to 5 yr old one amd phenom x4 or ect

Yeah I told him to try without cars mods and reducing scripts etc... but anyway his PC can't really handle the game properly.

to much to your RAM can handle i suggest delete traffic flow then make a Free Mode set private slots to max then play online because there is the traffic fixed thats the only idea i think that could help

As much as I would love a better PC, I can't afford it at the moment so I'm going to have to make do. Would buying some more RAM help? My motherboard has four slots, is there a maximum of how much you can use?

I don't think that buying 500MB RAM now is a good idea, it's cheap yes but a bit useless, I mean, look at your computer, bad graphic card, bad cpu, bad ram, and bad OS. <-- edit : I mean for GTA IV + mods

Plus, I guess that your system is a bit f*cked up with years and I don't think that you've really taken care a lot of it.

 

Look, we are at the 3rd page, everyday a new problem is coming lol. I can help but I can't do miracles buddy :)

 

As we said, reduce a lot your mods, don't use ELS/modded cars/etc..., just the strict minimum.

And when you'll have a better computer, you'll be able to mod your game intensively.

I'm more than happy to upgrade to 64bit Windows if necessary. If I did upgrade to 64bit Windows, would it be possible to buy four 2GB sticksand have 8GB of RAM? I do a fresh re-installation of Windows every 6 months or so and I try to keep as much junk off of my computer as possible! :)

 

The PC is pretty crappy though, I think I got it in 2007 and everything in it is still original :p It was never meant for gaming and it obviously doesn't handle GTA very well!

Yes if you can upgrade to 64bits you can have more than 3GB, it would help a bit.

RAM doesn't cost that much so it can be a good little start.

Everything is working in the game! 25fps, no game crashes, everything running smoothly EXCEPT for the one issue where I'm having where everything goes black and I have to restart the game. If anyone could help me fix that, the game would run absolutely fine!

I am having the same problem. I had this problem with dsound.dll, then I put in Xlive and it worked. Now I am having the same problem!

 

 

 

EDIT: I took out xlive.dl and xlive.dll or whatever they're called. I installed dsound. Now, I get to the loading screen and it just shuts off. No warning, no anything. Just shuts down. Any help?

els7 lcpdfr breaveheart trafficflow policehelper and police cars and after the animation pics come up and it says loading it says gta iv stopped working what do i do please help me

Don't hijack threads, maybe your issue is way different than jazloc' one.

Try to remove ELS7, if it works then look at my Fix Center in signature.

If it's not ELS7' fault, then open a topic with all the details, but before that be sure to :

1 - Don't use a pirated copy of the game, <- I guess it's ok ^^

2 - Install GTAIV patch 7 or EFLC patch 2,

3 - Untick "read only" on main game folder,

4 - Run LCPDFR installer as admin,

5 - Check that you have required components,

6 - Finish install and run the game as admin.

7 - If you have issues, read the Support Section & Read-First Memo.

Hello, I am having a huge problem in GTAIV right now. I never tried playing lcpdfr before so once I downloaded with no other mods, I decided to try to play it and it said "GTAIV has stopped working" after the loading screen. I had the C++ Redistributure already installed with the net framework 4 full profile, games for windows live, and the actual copy of GTAIV for the PC already. After it said "GTAIV has stopped working," after the loading screen, a pop up said windows is searching for a solution. Once the solution popped up, it said turn on/off DEP(Data Execution Protection). I tried to turn it off so GTAIV would work. When I went to try to turn the DEP off, it would not let me so i went onto youtube to check for videos that would help me, and there was this one with a guy saying that I should download CRACK 1.0.7.0 by Razor 1911 and so I did. When I went to open it it would not let me. The reason why he said for me to open it is so that I can take the products files and put them into GTAIV's folder. The guy also told me to download the trainer for lcpdfr and I did. Then he told me to put the trainer in GTAIV's folder. My problem is now the pop up "GTAIV has stopped working". Anyone who knows about this stuff, please help me!!!

GTA IV requires  AT LEAST 4GB of ram, and a 1GB video card. Scripts and mods will, of course, require more than the vanilla GTA IV. Period. Unfortunately, you'll need a better computer if you would want to run GTA IV.

Pirated version is a problem for one, ditch the crack.

For two, update scripthookdotnet and scripthook.dll

Mine is doing that to. I took out xlive.dll then I tried it again and it said that I need xlive.dll. So I put it back in and it crashed after the loading screen. What Should I do?
