When i put a lightbar on a cvpi and want to put a dash light in, it lets me but when i go to export it says there are two different things with the same name. i tryed renaming them and the light is steady on. what should i do.

there are lights inside the main file called extra_1-9 ect.

Seems that you do not have a very good knowledge of Zmodeler but anyways, there is an attach button in Zmodeler where you move your stuff. Using that tool attach the deck lights' extras to the main light bar extras. Then ensure that they are attached correctly.

Open the part separately and edit the material to look for the same file but with a different name. Re-export the part and add it to the car.

Sorry but, rename the .png?

Yes, make a copy of the .png and rename it to something else.

 

Then import both the .pngs and then import the file.

 

Open the material editor, and change the texture to the one with the new name, and then export the file. Then, you can import the newly named texture, and then import the new part.
