Black Bumper Trim on CVPI

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what is responsible for the black bumper trim on some CVPI's? For example, this is what I'm talking about.

The left is this Ontario Provincial Police CVPI with lonestranger's RCMP skin applied, and the right is this Sacramento PD CVPI applied with a Mesquite PD skin I found in a San Andreas thread over on GPM. Both skins have an all white background, and I'm assuming it's something to do with the model. Could somebody point me in the right direction?

A small texture file found inside the .wtd file.

Just change the color to white or make it transparent.

I edited the trim.png and made it transparent, and it didn't work. In fact, looking at the trim.png for the OPP's .wtd file, it's black too.

The reason is simple. The OPP CVPI has a section on the template that has been mapped so that the Bumper trim disappears. As for the other CVPI, the bumper trim has not been mapped to the template. This the black line appearing. This has to be done by modders in Zmodeler.
