I was just wondering what your opinion is about this game, after doing the review I found myself strangely drawn towards it until I was called out to a Helicopter crash and once again the fire glitched out in the end costing me 2 "ingame days" worth of work. Now I am rather annoyed

I got bored after 5 minutes of mission gameplay - the game is too uniform, and the tutorial is way too lengthy..

I have played this game and it is real boring and it kinda sucks. I am still waiting on shitpump simulator with all these sims that they are coming out with

Yeah it is a shame, the Ideas are there but all it is for them is a quick way to grab some dollars, what they don't realize is that with the right foundation and mod support they could make tenfold the money.

Hush...they might hear you and think "That's a great Idea" I do like Sims, if they are well made...but exactly that seems to be the problem lately.

But I agree pretty soon we are going to be playing: Simulator of playing a simulator!

There are a lot of vanilla simulators coming out of germany recently. farming simulator, construction simulator... and a ton others.

 

they aren't simulators, just a quick code thrown together.

going completely offtopic here, anybody remember ship simulator? developers killed it by choking community support. but it had potential. just needed free world/bigger maps/navigation etc.

Yes in fact I do remember it, was a good game for it's time. I have seen many simulators that came from Europe ...Astragon seems to be the main culprit for those abominations. The only one that I can say I truly enjoy is Farming Simulator, but only because there is a ton of Mods out there.

 

Does anybody remember Janes Military Simulators? those where awesome, I remember I had to update my system to a whooping 2 MB of ram to run them before that 1024 kb was more than enough...good ole times

Ah, the Jane's Military Sims. I found a disc set in my basement of some military flight simulators. I tried to install it on my desktop but it wouldn't start. :( I then tried to run it in compatibility mode but it still didn't work. I do want to try this Airport Sim game, just to see how bad it may be.

janes was the bomb. sadly they never got the flying and fighting part together. they always chopped the flying realism.

 

 but still they made good stuff.

 

one that shows some potential now is city car driving/3d car sim. its russian and a bit vanilla in stock form, but the devs release car packages all the time for free. you can now rip it on the russian highways like in the youtube videos. it is the only game that i know of that has real automatic transmission. downshifts based on load and rpms and so forth.  youtube the benz s65 videos with it. for the record the demo (ahem "free")  versions are now obsolete and do not support the car packs or the transmission features. more for the record, buying the game is a bit akward due to their merchant setup but they are trying to get steam to carry it...
