I need to know if my computer meets the requirements needed for GTA IV.

Computer: Dell Vostro 430a

Specs:

  • Intel Core i5 2.8GHz
  • 3GB memory
  • NVIDIVA GeForce 310 Graphics with 512MB dedicated memory.

But just taking a quick look at those specs, what worries me is that it's a prebuilt by Dell and that the graphic card seems pretty shitty.

According to Rockstar Games' article (http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/479435-PC-System-Requirements-for-GTA-IV) your video card is the recommended one in terms of dedicated memory.

But I have a 1GB Radeon 3750 HD Graphics Card and my GTA IV does run a bit slow depending all on what I'm doing. So in terms of recommended cards, yours is exactly what is recommended for memory. In terms of game play..... well, how does GTA IV run? Any lag?

Best,

KRI

I have not yet installed GTA IV; I'll probably will do so when possible.

I ran YouGamers system check, and it said that it won't perform properly, even with the lowest settings.

My guess is I will need to get a better graphics card, but I don't want to pay too much. I'm not a major PC gamer, but at the same time, I want to play games on the side, maybe play LCPDFR if I'm not too occupied.

Thanks though.

I would just upgrade all together. I spend $220 on my computer and another $400 swapping out parts, and i am not done yet! I am beginning to think, I should have just custom built a PC. =D
