  1. The bug occurs exclusively at the RESUME step (exiting the paused state), not during initial loading or while idling in the pause menu.

  2. Triggered by BOTH closing the RPH console and closing the native ESC menu. This isolates the root cause to LSPDFR's overarching resume logic, not a specific RPH console interaction.

  3. Unloading LSPDFR before resuming → No crash.

  4. Loading other third-party plugins (non-LSPDFR) → No crash upon resume.

  5. Speculation based on the attached PDB: Highly likely a fiber suspension issue linked to Mod/PauseMenu.cs, Engine/GameFiberHelper.cs, or Engine/Coroutines.cs (LSPDFR's logic for suspending/resuming background game fibers).

  6. Excluded variables: Overlays, Antivirus, GPU drivers, and mod conflicts (verified via the sterile clean install).

  7. Windows Event Viewer captures zero entries for this crash. Attaching ProcDump live debugger → the game crashes immediately upon attachment. Registering a JIT debugger (AeDebug) → also fails to catch the dump. Highly suspect this is due to ConfuserEx's anti-debug protection mechanisms (traces found in the attached files).

You initially said you couldn't get the LSPDFR plugin to load, but now you are saying it loads but only crashes on resuming the game from a paused state, which is it?

Your AI analysis also isn't correct, if there was an issue with LSPDFR's 'resume logic' then everyone would be experiencing it. A clean install isn't going to rule out overlays, antivirus, or GPU drivers as they are all independent of the game, and overlays and AV settings tend to reset if you reinstall a game too.

Apologies for using AI, but I’m eager to fix this issue. Is there a way for you to scan my system to see exactly what’s going wrong?

1. After running the LoadPlugin command in the RPH console, the plugin loads successfully without crashing. However, the crash occurs when I close the console window or interact with the game's pause menu; for instance, if I spam the ESC key to close the console, the game gets stuck transitioning to the pause menu and then crashes once it exits that mode.

2. The game crashes without displaying a specific error message, and Windows logging tools fail to detect anything.

3. Since I am using a stripped-down version of Windows, all Windows Defender components have been completely removed, so there is no risk of a false positive detection.

This happens with both keys (ESC or F4). I’m not entirely sure why, but the game crashes whenever I load resource-heavy plugins like LSPDFR or LOS SANTOS RED. There are no error messages or specific logs recorded in the Windows Event Viewer. The sequence is: I launch GTA V with RPH, open the console, and type LoadPlugin LSPD First Response. Everything loads fine, and the game remains stable as long as the RPH console window stays open; however, the moment I close the console, the game crashes straight to the desktop.

I suspect this issue is related to the EasyHook version; when I overwrote the EasyHook file with the latest version, the game crashes stopped occurring. However, I am unsure if there are issues with Easyload64 and Easyhook64, as the game now crashes without an error message after a few minutes of play—specifically when starting callouts.

Sorry for the confusion; what I meant was that I replaced the EasyLoad64.dll and EasyHook64.dll files with the latest versions because the existing ones were outdated. This worked for me—the game no longer crashes—and I haven't installed any mods at all.

How do you mean overwrite with the latest version? Do you not have the latest version of RPH installed?

If you have a mods folder, try renaming it to _mods and see if the crashing continues

i already install new RPH version i just replace these files to fix

Thanks for the reply, but I'm now facing a new issue where the game crashes after a few minutes of play. It might be related to pursuits or perhaps too many AI cop units spawning; I've noticed that sometimes I can play for a long time without issues, while other times it crashes very quickly. Most of these crashes happen when I request backup or am in the middle of a pursuit. I've tried various troubleshooting steps—like removing mods or running only LSPDFR—but the problem persists, so I could really use your help with this.

No problem,

So RichsPoliceEnhancements is failing to load, you have it installed to GTA V\Plugins\ but it needs to be installed to GTA V\Plugins\LSPDFR.

You seem to be getting errors related to DLS, which would explain why you're crashing during pursuits. Do you have ELS also installed?
