Back after a long time, is the enhanced preview the recommended experience?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, back after awhile and was reading up on how to get going again, but I wasn't sure what the main differences between the versions are. Is the legacy version still what I should go with for the most complete experience, or is the preview up to speed enough and compatible enough?

I see that it says the preview is missing some features, and that most stuff should be compatible, but I was hoping to know what other people are generally running these days?

The enhanced version is really good, but most would probably recommend you legacy. Finding A working plugins and B install any map-, car-, ped- mods can be tedious.

Thanks for the confirmation that its at least viable for sure, I had preemptively installed the enhanced version of GTA before checking so I figure I'll give it a shot and if I struggle with it, I needed to re-install for legacy anyway so no big deal. Also, sorry for posting in the wrong forum and thanks for moving it!

For maximum customisation, Legacy is still the best bet. Enhanced in my opinion is far more refined, just runs a whole lot better, and if you prefer a more vanilla experience, the best pick. There are ways to convert Legacy vehicles to Enhanced, but it's not the most user friendly.

Enhanced dropped a little too late in the game's lifecycle for a lot of modifications that need specific porting to care. Even Rockstar have not ported FiveM over yet.
