Livery Mishaps

Featured Replies

hello, I recently ran into a bit of a problem with a vehicle model I think? The vehicle model is a cvpi from ripple development and I can't seem to match the correct template to the model. I've used 3 or 4 different templates for this model. but in game it comes out wrong please take a look at the model livery in-game compared to the preview in openiv. I only have problem with this particular model and I have used this vehicle for a while and  using the template that came with it without problems with applying a livery until now. What could be the issue here?

Could contain: outdoor, vehicle, land vehicle, sky, wheel, ground, road, vehicle registration plate, car, sedan, tire, parked, track

Could contain: outdoor, vehicle, land vehicle, sky, wheel, vehicle registration plate, road, text, ground, car, track, street

Could contain: text, vehicle, land vehicle, car, screenshot, multimedia software, graphics software, 3d modeling

Hey tee,

I assume it is the rear part of the trunk that you want black? If you have mapped it black in PDN or Photoshop and it appears like that in game it is because Ripple may have mapped not mapped it to the template. This looks like OfficerUnderwood's CVPI. If you happen to have his template it should say Made by OfficerUnderwood on the template somewhere. I attached the template below as well.

Could you try changing the vehicle paint and see if that changes anything? If it does Ripple mapped it to the paint and it isn't present on the template. He me may have mapped it to the "Other" box.

Ripple isn't really a good developer in the community standards, noticably in that car you can see his lightbar straps go past into the door so when you open the door it clips with the straps, sometimes people aren't knowledgeable in vehicle creation so I wouldn't be surprised that issues like this is present.

I'm currently taking a look at Underwood's CVPI base in Zmodeler which is the software myself, Ripple and other developers use and it should be mapped properly.

Ohhh ok, yes it is the rear that I want black. I guess that makes sense because I have tried Ripple's other packs with cvpi's and the template for each one was not lining up with my livery. I just never noticed until now.  I had to put my white lines on the front bumper in order for it to apply to the rear bumper correctly. I guess I'll just find other cvpis that I hope works because changing the paint box color to black did nothing. Ripple's cvpi templates must be unique or something because  parts of the car are all over the place, but thanks for your response I thought it was a glitch in my system that caused that, but now I know.
